A guide for parents and carers who look after someone on the Autistic Spectrum aged 0-25 years.
Has your child or young person recently been given a diagnosis of an Autism Spectrum Condition? (This term includes the whole Autism Spectrum including Asperger’s syndrome). Or are you supporting or looking after someone with an Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and are thinking “What do I do now?”, “Where can I go for support?”, and “Who can I turn to?”
This local information pack has been developed by parents and carers who have children and young people with ASCs themselves. It aims to signpost to relevant agencies, services and resources in Wiltshire which can help with concerns and questions. It also contains information on some national organisations, websites, books and resources that may be useful.
(This is a PDF of the whole pack, which is quite large, it has to be saved to the computer before it can be opened, which might take a few minutes.)
The Wiltshire Autism Information Pack
Thursday 26th November 2015 at Wiltshire College, Chippenham 10 – 2pm
Parent Carers of children and young people with ASC, are encouraged to come along to a free drop-in information event. This event which is being hosted by Wiltshire College and organised by Wiltshire Council promises to have lots of information about the support and information available to families of children and young people with ASC in Wiltshire.
Although there is a focus on thinking about the support that is available for young people over 16 with ASC in Wiltshire, there will be information that is relevant to ALL families of children and young people with ASC living in Wiltshire, regardless of age.
At the Event, you can expect:-
· The launch of the new Wiltshire Autism Information Pack: “A Guide for parents and carers who look after someone on the Autistic Spectrum aged 0-25 yrs” (pdf link above).
· An Information market place where you can meet representatives and gather information from a range of organisations and providers, including Short Breaks, ASD Youth Clubs etc.
· An opportunity to have a look at the new Chippenham campus building
The event runs from 10am to 2pm, and parent carers, young people and professionals are welcome to drop in at any point during these times.

Congratulations and a big thank you to all of our Yr11 students today for another impressive set of GCSE results at The Corsham School.
61.3% of students scored 5 or more higher passes with English and Maths. I am sure all students will join me in thanking their dedicated teachers who guided them to such success.
Nearly a third of all students scored at least 3 A* and A grades with many outstanding individual achievements.
