Making Room News

If you can find the time to visit The Pound this weekend (19th Feb ) you will see the products of a very busy Saturday workshop, last week, and also the final pieces made by the resident artists. Everybody has excelled themselves!
This is the artist Carole Tonge, discussing collage with one of our young artists- it was great to have her there and interacting amongst us!

Art Surgery has produced some rather lovely portraits of the Queen, and part of the reward is a web page for each entrant to display their own artwork, literally their own gallery online!

It’s not to late to add your own entry, closing date is 14th March- if you would like to bring them to Mazy Bartlett in The Making Room, she will submit them for you.

In conjunction with the Music Dept., The Making Room will be open on the first 2 Thursdays of term, after school. This will be for any student asked to do ‘Making an instrument’ homework. Mazy Bartlett will be on hand to provide materials and advice.

Finally, half-term suggestion, The Victoria Gallery in Bath ( near the weir) is showing Cleo Mussi, a really fabulous mosaic artist. This is really worth a look , and it’s FREE!
