Year 8 history students completed Tourist Leaflets, using ICT, as part of their studies of Bath’s history. The standard of leaflets this year was extremely high. Many of the leaflets were professional enough to be used by tourists in Bath, including maps, opening times, and attraction details. A Bath visitor pass for two, which gave free entry into many of Bath’s tourist attractions for two days, was donated by the Bath Tourism Office as our top prize. The winner of the competition was Shannon Pountney.
All Year 8 students should now be able to tell you about Bladud and his pigs, explain the reasons why visitors have been attracted to Bath through time and talk you through the architectural features of a Georgian Townhouse!
