New School Uniform – full details announced

New-School-UniformWe are very pleased to be able to send information home this week to parents/ carers of students in Key Stage 3 giving details of our new uniform. The exciting new design is to be worn by all students in Years 7 to 10 from the start of the new school year in September 2015 – (Year 11 students will be permitted to continue wearing our current uniform).

We have been working on this important development for many months and, after consulting with students, parents, governors and teachers, the final product is now ready to be presented to our parents and students with details of how they can get hold of it in time for the new school year.

Each part of the new uniform has undergone thorough evaluation to ensure that it will be both hardwearing and economical while looking both contemporary and smart for both male and female students. All students who have had a chance to try it on already have said how much they like it and we are confident that many more students and parents will agree.

The information leaflet and information being sent home this week to parents in Years 7, 8 and 9 can be viewed here: New Uniform at The Corsham School Yr 7-9

(Parents of Year 6 students joining us in September will receive full details in their induction pack which is also being sent out shortly. This will include details of a special uniform Sales Event taking place on Tuesday 23rd June.)

GCSE Results for 2014

Congratulations to all of our year 11 students on a fantastic set of GCSE results and a huge thank you to all of their teachers.

64% of students achieved at least 5 passes at grade C and above including English and Maths, with over 70% achieving 5 or more higher passes.

This is a worthy reward for all of the hard work put in by students, teachers and mentors alike.

Over 31% of our students gained at least 3 grade A or A* passes and as usual there were some stunning individual performances.

Assistant Head

A Level Results for 2014

Congratulations to all A Level and AS Level students for an extremely pleasing set of results.

At A Level, over half of all entries resulted in an A*, A or B grade with more than a quarter at grade A* and A, and a huge 10% reaching A*.

There were some stunning individual performances by students accessing all A* grades and securing places at both Oxford and Cambridge universities.

At AS Level, there was an improvement on last year with a 91% pass rate and a quarter of all entries reaching grade A.

A huge thank you to all staff for their hard work and dedication.

Assistant Head
